Bus shelters Amsterdam.
JCDecaux is the market leader in outdoor advertising and city furniture in the Netherlands. They offer visibility in dozens of big cities, focusing on the country’s largest metropolitan area, the Randstad. With this new shelter by Fabrique, JCDecaux gave the city of Amsterdam a new impulse.
Challenge
Design new bus shelters and Mupis® (outdoor information panels) for the municipality of Amsterdam, as commissioned by outdoor advertising operator and city furniture company JCDecaux.
Solution
The three characteristic Andreas crosses that make up Amsterdam’s logo have been included in the bus shelters’ design. The new shelters are solid and very transparent, which not only contributes to safety but also enhances the way the shelter blends into the environment. This new line of shelters will make a visible contribution to a quieter and more uniform appearance of the city’s streets.
Result
Amsterdam has renewed its contract with JCDecaux for another 15 years. Nowadays, the shelters are admired in our capital. The appearance of the city has had a new, fresh impulse.
