Modular and waterproof folding awning.

Design a modular harmonica folding awning that is quick and comfortable to set up and can be combined with the other products from the Lewens range. This product must be operational in any situation and user environment and must be able to withstand all weather conditions. Fabrique Invent was tasked with making this system work technically and matching Lewens' design language.

This modular sun screen is constructed from aluminum extrusion profiles, making any configuration possible within a maximum width and length of 6 by 5 meters. The wall cassette, guide profiles, rain gutter and legs are all parts that are pre-assembled in the factory. This makes it easy for the installer in the field to click all the parts together and attach the PVC cloth to the carts.

Compared to other folding awnings on the market, the Positano has a cover made of the same PVC as the screen. Other awnings, for example, have an aluminum covering. The fabric not only provides a more uniform appearance and fits better with the rest of the awning, it also saves the use of excess aluminum. The quick installation for the dealer also gives the Positano an advantage over other folding awnings.

The big difference between a folding awning and a regular awning is the fact that the Positano is completely water resistant. This system can also withstand much stronger wind conditions.

In the gastronomic sector, the Positano provides more terrace hours, even when it rains or when it gets cold in the evening. If we look at private use, this sun protection provides a cozy atmosphere, the Positano offers comfort in the shade and reduces the use of air conditioning in the home because the facade also remains cool.

In 2022, the Positano won a prize at the European Product Design Award. The award recognizes the efforts of designers who strive to improve everyday life with practical and beautiful creation. Thanks to these awards, we can test ourselves against our competitors and we can say with certainty that our designs are of high quality.
