DNA Paris Design Awards is an accolade honoring the work of international architects and designers, who create practical and innovative design to improve daily lives.
This year we participated for the first time within the Paris Design Awards. We chose to compete with the newcoming Capri Due sun awning we created for Lewens Sonnunschutz Systeme. This product is a modular sun awning which is both available as a built-in above a roof and as a self-supporting pergola on legs. Primarily designed for verandas and glass roofs, the Capri Due prevents sunlight from entering and the interior space from becoming too hot. A particular highlight of this system is that the guide rails and columns can be recessed, allowing the product to be adapted to the structural and local conditions. All submissions for the Paris Design Awards are evaluated by an expert jury. The jury committee is comprised of designers, editors and creatives who are devoted to true excellence in design. We got the award in the Product Design Lighting and Furniture category. We are happy and thankful for the recognition by the Paris Design Award for our design. For us, this is acknoledgement from the field that our designs are of quality.
